Eksportfinans made a successful return to the USD benchmark market on November 9, after an absence of more than 2 years. The transaction was one of the fastest bookbuilding processes in the agency space in 2009 and due to overwhelming demand, was increased from USD 1 billion to USD 1.5 billion. 66 high quality accounts participated and the final geographical distribution was Americas 71%, Europe 12%, Asia 10%, Middle East 7%.
The transaction pays a semi-annual coupon of 3% and matures on 17 November 2014. Lead managers were Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs International and Morgan Stanley.
