Financial results Q1 2025

29/04/2025 - Press release

The financial results for the first quarter of 2025 were approved by the board of directors on April 29, 2025.

Eksportfinans’ strategy to actively manage its existing portfolio of loans, other assets and liabilities, with the overall objective of maintaining company value, remains unchanged in 2025.

Net interest income was NOK 17 million in the first quarter of 2025, compared to NOK 79 million in the same period of 2024. The decline is primarily a result of a reallocation of the majority of the liquidity portfolio from bonds to fixed-income funds in the fourth quarter of 2024. The interest income from these funds is reported under net operating income.

Total comprehensive income was NOK 25 million in the first quarter of 2025, compared to NOK 21 million in the first quarter of 2024.

Total assets amounted to NOK 5.3 billion at March 31, 2025, compared to NOK 5.6 billion at December 31, 2024, and NOK 6.0 billion at March 31, 2024.

The core capital ratio was 221 percent at March 31, 2025, compared to 207 percent at December 31, 2024, and 208 percent at March 31, 2024.

Eksportfinans had liquidity reserves totaling NOK 3.9 billion on March 31, 2025.

On April 8, 2025, the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority granted a license to Eksportfinans’ largest shareholder, DNB Bank ASA, to acquire all shares in the company. As of the publication date of the first quarter report, DNB holds 63.21 percent of the outstanding shares.
